I realize it’s been over 6 months since my last post, and for that, I apologize. Since I left my job back in January, it has been a whirlwind year; most of it personal, which I won’t get into here. A week after that post, I went to Las Vegas to visit an old friend of mine. Then, in September, my brother and I took our mother to Disney World for her birthday. Incredible trip. I might even write a post about it soon. Needless to say, I didn’t allow myself enough time to sit down and write more content.
Another reason for the absence of any content the past several months was due to my dedication to finishing the first draft of my novel. All of my focus and attention was funneled into completing it. And now, after several months of work, I’m still not finished.
Don’t get me wrong. I’ve written more in the past 6 months than I have in the past several years. I’m in the home stretch. Probably another 40-50 more pages. However, for the time being, I’m taking a break from it. Partly because I have a lot going on in the next couple of months so my attention is needed elsewhere.
As you can tell by the date of this blog, it’s nearly Christmas. I wanted to give an update to the tens of you out there that took the time to read this blog in the first place. I have a lot of content in mind that I want to write and hopefully, this blog will become more consistent in the new year. It is definitely something I’ve been thinking about for months. I intended for this post to be in the News section of the site but I have yet to figure out something that works. I will have to mess with the site more. For now, though, have a happy holiday and I’ll see you in the new year.
